Wanting to Give Historical Fiction a Try

Dear Next Great Book,
I am a fifth grader.  I love realistic fiction but I need to read another genre.  I DO NOT want to read fantasy yet but I am willing to give historical fiction a try.
PLEASE -PLEASE help me!!!!
PS I am above grade level as a reader.
