WELCOME!

Email your questions to: nextgreatbook@gmail.com
We are a group of students in a 5th grade class. We love to make suggestions of great books we've read BUT feel free to ask us for recommendations at all grade levels. If we do not know we will research for you and find just the book for you! We happily take questions for students, teachers and parents.
We will try hard to email back and post our response here - ENJOY !
Happy Reading!

If you have book suggestions for any of these letters feel free to add them by adding a comment underneath - the more recommendations the better!

What is A READER?

We have recently been talking about what A READER is and trying to create definitions for ourselves.  Here is Sean's definition!  Please post yours.

Hogwarts or District 12 is where I shall be. I am a reader. I visit my friends a good amount of time and go through castles and forests. When I find new friends I stick with them. When I read I am in places like Minneapolis with my friends Jack and Hazel. By the time I'm dead I will have made 1000s of friends and found 1000s of new places. I am a reader!

  1. HANNAH SAYS:
A reader is someone who can get lost in a book easily and won't let anything distract her. A reader is someone who knows what she wants to read next and won't let anything in her way to get that book. A readeris someone who can read fluently and with lots of expression. A reader is someone who will really read and not just go home and fake it. A reader is someone who can get lost in a book and read for hours.

  2. NICOLE SAYS:
A reader is someone who reads every second she can. A reader is someone who has a plan and sticks with it. She gets lost in her just right books. She doesn't need a picture on the page, she has one in her mind. She wants to be surrounded by books rather than electronics. She uses thinking strategies to help guide her though the book.
